I have had Charles entertain three times at two different churches. The first was a “birthday party” for all singles and young married adults, the second was two Christmas parties, one for singles and one for median married adults, and the third was an outreach-oriented city-wide comedy show we called “Comedy Comes Clean.” We rented a historic theater downtown, filled it with about 600 people, and had an incredible night. They laughed and laughed and even demanded an encore, which Charles was more than willing to provide. We discovered 40+ prospects and showed the community we’re a fun bunch of folks to hang out with.

On each occasion, Charles was absolutely FUN to work with and his shows were outstanding. On the latest event, he came in a few days ahead of time and we drove around for two days doing various publicity stuff, mostly radio and TV interviews. We took a Wednesday night and interrupted every Bible study meeting on our campus (about a dozen or so groups). I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much. He not only does funny stuff onstage, he’s just a genuinely funny guy!  I mean, just look at his picture—anybody that funny-looking had better be funny, right?

Charles also has a serious side. At all these events, he’s used a different event from his life to make the main point of his presentation: Jesus Christ is the reason for his existence, and should be the reason for yours. He’s written a book, “Shattering the Glass Slipper,” that is an easy read but is a tremendous motivator for people to succeed in all areas of life. I know—I didn’t even know he could color a book and it turns out he wrote one! I think it was mainly his wife doing the writing.

Anyway, in my opinion you can’t find a better Christian comedian. (But just to be safe, be sure to ask for the money-back guarantee.) Charles, be sure to send that $100 to my home address, OK?
